This Autumn, dressing should be full of colour and very playful as we begin to introduce heavier pieces. Think layers and key items such as animal print handbags (we love Jerome Dreyfuss’ Leon clutch in Violet leopard print) or colour accent shoes. We can’t wait for local lass Provenson’s crepe soul loafers in green.
Colour

Green has been massive this past season and prepare for that to continue.
There are all sorts of different tones and shades to choose from, but deep
forest colours and grey-greens are the best. I’m also seeing a lot of dee
Bordeaux colours, mixed with brights like magenta, oranges and acidic yellows.
There are some great stripes in these tones coming from NZ label Lonely Hearts
and in particular, a fantastic textured acid yellow crop sweater from Aussie designer Karla Spetic.
Prints
There are plenty of prints around, especially floral applications. Karen Walker, a Pretty Dog favourite, has a fantastic camo-floral print and loads of reworked houndstooth prints to offer this season.
Local legends Romance Was Born are offering up tribal print combinations of beautiful bright colours!
So to sum it all up, wear print on print, colour on colour in clothing and accessories!
