Pantene Specialist Trichologist : Tony Pearce

Tony Pearce RN is a specialist trichologist* and registered nurse. His professional area of interest is female hair loss from nutritional-metabolic-hormonal or autoimmune disturbance.

Tony’s awareness in this area is almost totally due to the mentoring of Mr. Arthur Chan - Research Pharmacist, Dr. Phillip Van Zanden (UNSW) and the Doctor whose research everybody follows - Dr. John Lee. Tony Pearce was the first to identify two forms of androgenic alopecia in women – true genetically-inherited type, and ‘acquired’ androgenic alopecia from metabolic/hormonal compensatory mechanisms. He is currently seeking a Federal Government study grant to establish that food allergies (Gluten + Dairy intolerance) is the overwhelming trigger for alopecia areata in children. Tony has two clinics in Sydney and one in Melbourne. He also provides an informational website and online consultation service for people seeking accurate information, diagnosis and treatment - www.hairlossclinic.com.au
