One simple rule…
Wearing an outfit that feels good as well as looking good takes the hard work out of any evening – and don’t forget to consider your shoes and bra while you’re at it!
Beauty tips to avoid that Cinderella feeling…
Eyebrows: Treat yourself to an eyebrow tidy – this will keep your face looking fresh and make your eyes seem more open and attractive.
Eyes that shine: Eye drops are an invaluable antidote against stuffy rooms, smoke and tiredness.
Super hands: A DIY manicure will ensure a stylish finish all the way to those fingertips. Take the time to use a base coat, then two coats of nail polish and a finishing coat for the best results.
Hairspray: Spritzing your hairbrush with hairspray before you use it will make your mane more manageable. Try Wella Pro Series Hair Spray Volume. Shop now.
Make up to go: Face powder like Max Factor’s Crème Puff compact is useful to banish any party shine, and your favourite lipstick to keep you looking photo-op ready.
The glam hair-up look
Celebrity hair stylist and Aussie Haircare ambassador Liz Taw offers simple steps for the classic bun, as seen on Rachel McAdams.
1. Start with a round brush blow dry, using Wella Pro Series Mousse (Max Hold). Shop now.
2. Put a little hair spray on your fingers and fasten hair into a ponytail just below the crown.
3. Use a tail comb to pull a little height into the front.
4. Slip a hair doughnut (make sure you get a good colour match) over the band and fold the hair over it. Secure with grips and pins.
5. Use fingers to gently soften the bun before a light finishing mist of Aussome Volume hair spray.
I have tried the bun and even with shorter hair i have managed to do it
